"Grande Etang"

This is our latest and largest lake at approximately 10acres with depths from 0.8m in the margins to a staggering 5.5m at the dam wall, there are 9 swims all are very natural but we are working to enhance them wherever needed.

This lake really is a vision of beauty and tranquility with the ancient forest surrounding it and the Abbey ruins emerging from the green hillside, the "Grande Etang" is also spring fed so the water quality is superb, the lake bed is made of clay and gravel with a light dusting of silt and next to no weed.

The largest fish caught last season was a 42lb Mirror carp with several 30lb+ Grass and Common carp all of which are the original residents probably born here and we have added 15 fish up to 36lb this spring, but we know that there must be bigger.
